International Human Rights Advocacy

Some international cases have legal, factual and public-interest dimensions. Independent human-rights organisations, researchers and qualified experts may help document concerns, and their independence must be respected.

An evidence-based approach to advocacy

Credible advocacy begins with a verifiable account. What happened, when, according to which document? Which legal questions remain disputed? What is supported by evidence and what is still an allegation? We organise this information for responsible external review.

Potential workstreams

Human-rights organisations

Identify organisations whose published mandates match the issue, prepare factual briefing packs and request independent consideration where appropriate. No organisation is obliged to act, and we claim no partnerships that do not exist.

Independent expert opinions

Research on legal systems, procedural guarantees or country context where it could assist an instructed lawyer. A newly written opinion does not satisfy Article 42 by itself.

Public-interest documentation

With explicit permission and after a risk review, factual chronologies and redacted materials for publication. Publicity may be inadvisable where it exposes the applicant, witnesses or family.

Counsel and NGO coordination

Research, national litigation, public advocacy and CCF submissions kept consistent without mixing their legal standards.

Important limits

What advocacy is not

A campaign, press article, statement of concern or NGO letter is not proof of a violation by itself. Advocacy must not be used to pressure independent institutions improperly, and we do not promise that INTERPOL or the CCF will respond to a public campaign.

Deliverables

  • Factual advocacy briefing and source map.
  • Organisation suitability list and outreach plan.
  • Security, disclosure and communications risk checklist.
  • A counsel-reviewed package for interested organisations, when appropriate.

FAQs

Do you have special access to human-rights organisations?

No privileged access is claimed. Outreach depends on each organisation's mandate and independent decisions.

Can media coverage replace new evidence?

No. Facts behind credible coverage may warrant separate verification, but publicity is not an Article 42 shortcut.

Can my case remain private?

Privacy is assessed before any outreach. Sharing materials externally requires your informed authorisation and a specific purpose.

Start with the decision you have

If your CCF application was refused, do not assume a second filing can simply repeat what has already been considered. A confidential assessment can identify whether a new factual basis appears to exist.
